About Sadie’s of New Mexico
Sadie’s Salsa was born over 50 years ago when Sadie Koury, alongside her sister Betty Jo and brother-in-law Bob Stafford, crafted their now-famous salsa in a tiny Albuquerque restaurant at the corner of Second Street and Osuna. The salsa quickly became a local favorite, capturing the hearts and taste buds of many with its authentic New Mexican flavors.
In 1975, when Sadie retired, Betty Jo and Bob continued her legacy, maintaining the same commitment to quality and tradition. As demand grew, Sadie’s moved to the Valley Bowl on Fourth Street, where today’s owners, Billy and Brian, got their start working as kids.
Today, Sadie’s legacy lives on, serving authentic New Mexico cuisine to loyal customers who are more than happy to wait for a taste of tradition. Sadie’s Salsa is now available in over 9,000 stores nationwide, including the Cast Iron Company, bringing the bold flavors of New Mexico to homes across the country.
