101 Wild West Rodeo Returns June 11-13
The 101 Wild West Rodeo is preparing to bring the “Greatest Show on Dirt” back to Ponca City, continuing a tradition rooted in western heritage, family entertainment, and the legacy of the Miller Brothers’ 101 Ranch.
For us, it is more than a rodeo. It is one of those community moments that ties Ponca City’s past to its present while giving families, visitors, and longtime rodeo fans a reason to gather under the summer sky.
Now in its 67th year, the 101 Wild West Rodeo continues to spotlight professional rodeo athletics and the cowboy way of life. The event’s organizers note that they handpick the stock contractor, announcer, barrel man, and specialty guests to create a full rodeo experience that honors tradition while keeping the show exciting for everyone.
The rodeo is scheduled for June 11 through June 13, 2026, at the 101 Ponca City Rodeo Grounds, with rodeo and concert packages available for each night. The 2026 concert series adds another layer to the weekend, with live music planned after the rodeo performances and bundle options for those who want to enjoy the full weekend.
For Cast Iron Company, the connection to the 101 Wild West Rodeo feels natural. Cast iron cookware belongs to the same world of grit, practicality, and tradition that rodeo celebrates. It is the kind of cookware you can imagine at a ranch camp, on a chuckwagon, beside a fire, or in a family kitchen where recipes and stories are passed from one generation to the next.
That is why Cast Iron Company is proud to support the return of this Ponca City tradition and step up as this year’s co-sponsor of the Team Roping Event. The store’s focus on American-made cast iron, durable kitchen goods, and restoration services reflects the same respect for heritage that keeps the rodeo alive. When you cook in cast iron, you take part in a tradition built on patience, care, and honest work, values that also run through the arena.
The 101 Wild West Rodeo gives you a chance to experience Ponca City at its best. You can watch skilled cowboys and cowgirls compete, enjoy the entertainment, bring the family, and take part in one of the area’s signature events. The rodeo’s official site describes it as fun for all ages and one of the top things to do in Ponca City, and its long-running place in the community backs that claim.
As the dust rises again at the rodeo grounds, Cast Iron Company joins the community in celebrating a tradition that still matters. The Greatest Show on Dirt returns with the same spirit that has made it a Ponca City favorite for decades. It is strong, enduring, and built to last.
